What's Happening?
Well, an update is long overdue. I pay the bills as a seasonal forest fire fighter, so there is often several month long gaps in areas of my creativity - such as my web site and blog in this case. However, I added a fair amount of pictures from my Instagram which documented my unique adventures throughout the summer. I haven't created or released any new music for quite awhile. I had planned to work on some projects throughout the summer, but the fire season was far too busy. I might try to make something new throughout the winter, but my focus has shifted somewhat. Before I started forest fire fighting in 2011, I was living in Nelson and trying to pursue a music journey. Long story short, I've spent the last five years working to create an environment for myself (mainly financially) that will allow me to seriously pursue this journey. I'm very excited to say, that time has come; this winter I will be training and practicing music, specifically music theory and becoming proficient at an instrument (keyboard). The goal is to enroll in the Contemporary Music program at Selkirk, once again in Nelson, and learn as much as I can to make my music creating and performing to the next level. I've had many important and revealing life experiences throughout my time away from Nelson, and I'm grateful for all of them. I feel that I have grown so much and in so many ways and think it would be unlikely to be where I am, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, if I had not taken that life detour. I can't express enough my happiness for where I am today, and I'm looking forward to what is to come. I am grateful for everyone and everything who has touched me and helped me learn and become who and what I am today. And thank you to everyone who has supported me and believed in me.
